Iris believes healthcare is a right, not a privilege. She is committed to strengthening local healthcare programs, expanding mental health services, and supporting access to reproductive and gender-affirming care. She supports community health programs, fair wages for healthcare workers, and policies that address racial, gender, and economic disparities to build a healthier Tompkins County. Federal threats to cut Medicaid funding could severely impact our budget, and Iris is committed to working with state and local governments to find creative solutions to continue providing the dedicated services that our residents rely on.
